£125,000 Funding Awards

We are pleased to have written three successful funding applications, recently awarded to local businesses in Drymen and Balmaha.

The three awards were for projects by The Oak Tree Inn, Balmaha (a new pontoon), Lomond Developments, Balmaha (a coffee roasting facility) and Fraser C Robb (Drymen Business Hub). The projects were each supported by Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER at £25,000 each. The Drymen Business Hub project was awarded an additional £50,000 by Stirling Council.

The projects were all inspirational ideas by local family businesses. Our role was to assist with the detailed process of preparing the funding applications and then overseeing the funding administration once successful. In addition we have worked on the marketing development for all three.

1) Balmaha Pontoon

This project is the result of many years of hard work by Sandy Fraser (pictured at microphone below) of The Oak Tree Inn, to introduce a pontoon for Balmaha, Loch Lomond. This pontoon is the first on the eastern side of the loch to have disabled access. It has also allowed a range of new cruises and speedboat tours to begin.

2) Loch Lomond Coffee

The next project by Lomond Developments was masterminded by its owners brothers David and Stuart Fraser (pictured above) and saw the creation of a new coffee roasting facility at their St Mocha Coffee Shop in Balmaha.

The coffee roasting facility was launched as Loch Lomond Coffee Co. we have worked on the branding, PR and website development of the brand.

3) Drymen Business Hub

Drymen Business Hub was the idea of Lorna Robb (pictured above) a director of Fraser C Robb. This is a facility for local businesses to use for networking, access to high speed broadband, hot desks, conferences etc. The new hub is located above the ground care and garden equipment showroom.

Here is the website that we created for Drymen Business Hub.

We very much enjoyed working on these three exciting projects. It is good to see that they are all running very successfully. All three projects were supported by Forth Valley & Lomond LEADER programme 2014-2020 and The Scottish Government, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
