The Power of Testimonials
There’s probably not a lot that will be new to you in this article. In fact there’s probably not much to learn generally about marketing that isn’t just common sense. However, often the most obvious points are overlooked. This includes asking for Customer Reviews and Testimonials.
Google My Business
One of the best places for them to do this is via Google. Imagine searching for a business in a place where you don’t have much prior knowledge. Which company will be of interest, the business with no reviews, or the one with many? (and hopefully mostly positive).

Once this is up and running you can add links to your website, update business hours etc. This is vital for showing up in searches and chances are that you’ve already got one. But do encourage your customers to leave reviews as it really does help..
If you’re in the hospitality business you will be both very happy and often incredibly frustrated by customer reviews. In a separate article I will share some thoughts about how to respond internally and of course to the person that has posted it.
When creating promotional films for clients I have often recommend using genuine testimonials from their customers. Often they are shocked by just how positive the reviews that are freely and spontaneously provided. As I usually end up saying you couldn’t script it better!

So to conclude, generally don’t be afraid to ask for testimonials and reviews, if you provide great service and value for money you will usually be rewarded by your customers.
