Copywriting and Editorial Content in Scotland

I provide copywriting and editorial content for businesses, charities, publications and organisations across Scotland, helping them communicate clearly, tell meaningful stories and engage their audiences.

My work includes website copy, editorial features, guides, maps and exhibition content, often supported by photography and visual storytelling to create clear, engaging and usable content.

Website Copywriter

I help organisations create clear, engaging website content that works for real people and for Google and AI discovery. This includes new website copy, content refreshes and restructuring existing pages to improve clarity and search visibility.

I design websites, too (click below to learn more), but even if you’re not commissioning a new site, I can help refresh or rewrite the content on your existing one.

Magazine Editorial Writer

I regularly write editorial content for Scottish magazines and publications, covering topics such as business, travel, walking, cycling and place-based storytelling.

Contact me if you want editorial content for your publication or interesting, readable content about your business, charity, or organisation in Scotland.

I can also provide accompanying photography; the examples opposite are cover photographs for the magazine of Friends of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

Scotland Maps and Guides

I work with visitor attractions, destinations, towns and regions to create maps, guides and editorial content that help people explore and understand places across Scotland.

The example shown is The Trossachs Trail, a 40-mile trail through the heart of Scotland that can be enjoyed by boat, boot, and bike.

Scotland Exhibition Content

I create interpretive and exhibition content for heritage sites and visitor attractions, combining clear writing with visual, audio and accessible formats.

Here is an example with audio, panels, video, and braille interpretation of the Streamships at Loch Katrine.

Stock Photography & Video of Scotland

Alongside commissioned writing, I maintain a library of Scottish photography and video that can be licensed for editorial, marketing and publication use, or commissioned as part of a wider content project.

I also take commissions and would be happy to quote for any photography or video project.

All content is available to license for websites, wall art, publications, and other uses.

Loch Lomond Book

I’m also the author of 101 Things to Do in Loch Lomond & The Trossachs, a photography-led guidebook created to help people explore the National Park, and it is connected with my See Loch Lomond website.

The book, packed with great ideas and photographs, is used as a planning tool by visitors, and there is a donation to the charity Friends of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs for each book sold.

Words and visuals that bring Scotland to life

If you need clear, engaging written content — whether for a website, publication, guide, exhibition or campaign — I can help you shape stories that connect with people and support your wider goals.

From editorial writing to copywriting and visual content, I offer a joined-up approach that keeps messaging clear and consistent.
