Camphill Blair Drummond

Camphill Blair Drummond is a remarkable community, just outside Stirling, providing a supportive and enriching environment for adults with learning disabilities. With a history dating back to 1975 and a strong set of values at its core, the charity offers a unique way of life, combining residential care, meaningful work, and a sense of belonging in the beautiful surroundings of Blair Drummond House.

I was brought in to produce a video that could help tell their story—something authentic, warm, and visually compelling. The aim was to raise awareness of the incredible daily work, supporting the charity’s fundraising efforts and attracting new volunteers.

From the start, it was clear this wasn’t just a place but a community. I spent time with residents and staff, observing daily routines and memorable moments. We filmed creative workshops, shared meals, and captured the stunning outdoor spaces where so much life occurs. I made sure to keep the storytelling honest and human-centred, letting the voices of the community lead the narrative.

The finished film is now being used to give more people an insight into what life at Camphill Blair Drummond is like—from the friendships and achievements to the calm and creativity that fills the estate.

It was a privilege to help bring their story to a broader audience, and I’m proud that the film continues to support their mission and values. As part of the project, I also captured a series of photographs, a few of which you can see below.
