Working with Lantra Scotland for over a decade has been a rewarding and eye-opening experience. Over a series of short films produced throughout the country, we’ve had the chance to meet people who have chosen careers in land-based industries—everything from aquaculture and agriculture to equine care, horticulture, engineering and more.
The films aim to give others a real insight into what these jobs involve, why they matter, and what it’s like to work in these fields. Each film follows someone in their role, capturing them in action and telling their personal story—how they got started, what they love about the job, and what advice they’d give to others.
It’s been a pleasure to work closely with Jim Ewing of Lantra Scotland, who conducts all the interviews and brings a genuine warmth and curiosity to each conversation. The stories we’ve heard along the way have been truly inspiring, and it’s been a joy to see how passionate people are about their work. A deep sense of purpose comes through in every film—a connection to nature, a commitment to community, and a clear understanding of their work's impact on everyday life.
