The Oak Tree Inn

I’ve worked alongside the Oak Tree Inn team in Balmaha, Loch Lomond, for over a decade, supporting the growth of this multi award-winning family-run business. Famous for its pub, restaurant, and B&B accommodation, The Oak Tree also operates a coffee shop, village shop, and Hunt the Haggis, walking trail, making it a key visitor attraction on the banks of East Loch Lomond, near Ben Lomond.

In 2014, I supported the development of St Mocha Coffee Shop, which quickly became a success and led to two more locations—The Station in Aberfoyle and the UK’s first artisan drive-thru at Carbeth. The family also established Loch Lomond Coffee Co., roasting their coffee on-site.

The Oak Tree was one of my first clients. I’ve had the privilege of providing marketing consultancy, video, photography, and PR support—including writing successful award entries and grant applications..

I also developed the Balmaha Experience campaign, raising the profile of East Loch Lomond and promoting the stunning natural landscape alongside the Fraser family’s visitor facilities. This included helping to organise Balmaha’s Braw Weekend, which drew over 10,000 visitors for food, drink, and entertainment.

In recent years, I’ve designed, developed, and maintained four websites for the business—covering The Oak Tree Inn, St Mocha Coffee Shop, Loch Lomond Coffee Co., and Conic Group, the parent company.
